Oh Marie Feature

Good morning little rabbits. Today I have some very exciting news to share with you. I've had the honor of having my Sweatered Owl & Raccoon along with my Alice in Wonderland work featured on the lovely online magazine Oh Marie website! They asked me to speak a bit on the story behind each painting, you can read the full article here.

They have such lovely things to look at on their site, I'm sure you can happily lose the better part of the day browsing their pages!

Such good things today & on the horizon, I'm very blessed!

The Woodland Visitor

The Woodland Visitor   14"x11"  Acrylic on paper

A gift of friendship is exchanged between a panda and a fox. I like to think that they see a little bit of themselves in each other. I'm in love with this three part miniature story & how each scene is separated by a birch tree!

I made this as a present for my dear friend April who has a little one on the way. Her favorite animal's a panda, and of course I had to throw in a little fox. I was so pleased with how it turned out, that I'm making prints available of it in the shop!  Happy Wednesday!

Floral Flight

Floral Flight   8"x10"  Acrylic on wood

Cherry blossoms are the backdrop to this lovely girl & her elf owl. Oh to have an owl for a companion! You can see these two are the best of friends, as he perches on her finger. The title "Floral Flight" came with the knitted birds flying on her sweater, I fancied the imagery of them soaring through the flowering trees.

The companion piece to Oaken, this miniature-series has been such fun! One more to go!

Groundhogs & Shadows

Happy Groundhog Day!
I love happy, silly little holidays! Groundhog day definitely falls under both!
There's a great old Rankin & Bass film titled "Jack Frost" which features a Groundhog, named Pardon-Me-Pete! (Really you can't go wrong with Rankin & Bass, they're magical!)

Here he is with his shadow. Our own Puxatony Phil cast his shadow today, although he unfortunately wasn't wearing that cute little vest!

Here's to six more weeks of winter!
